Letters of Upmost Importance #4

My Dear Miss Argyle,

I am extremely sorry about the girls upsetting your chicken coop. I'll admit that Eudora can be a little high spirited at times, but I assure you it was all in honest curiosity. Please understand that though I write the stories, I really have very little control over what the girls do. Once Eudora takes an idea in her head, I'm afraid I'm quite at a loss to stop it. But I promise I will speak with Eudora and endeavor to protect your chickens with the upmost fierceness.

Sincerely,

  1. Honestly, Mrs. Argyle shouldn't be so cantankerous. Really a chicken coup can be such a frail thing that it amazes me that it can withstand the beating of frustrated chicken wings. Perhaps if she endeavored to clean the coup daily, it would make feathers easier to get to. She can't possibly have a need for all of them. Do tell Mrs. Argyle that as the illustrator I would hate to paint her looking most wretched so please try to entertain her young visitors with the utmost of hospitality.

    Much love,

    Sis
